WIRE ROPE SOCKET – VERSATILITY AND SAFETY

The socket for wire rope has innumerable varieties, they can be opened, closed, wedge type, pee-wee and quick coupling. Within these models, there are also other variations related to finishing, details of terminations and types of tests, thus meeting the needs of different applications and load capacities.

This equipment is used as a terminal at the end of the wire rope, providing greater security in cargo lifting and handling. Made of cast alloy steel with high mechanical properties and galvanized or painted finish according to the normative technical requirements, the wire rope socket answers different applications in the industrial market, ports, overhead cranes, offshore, cable-stayed tower and bridges, among others.

All of our sockets can be used in negative temperature environments. Materials meet or exceed the impact requirements > 42 Joule and -20C Charpy-V.

The socket models for wire rope are certified by suppliers and, when necessary, can be applied to the load test at 30% of the equipment’s MBL. Load tests with higher values ​​are available under request. We also perform destructive and non-destructive tests (magnetic particles, ultrasound and X-ray) when requested.
