Single Rope Grab
GRABS for single rope cranes are normally used when port cranes are not available and shipboard cranes must be used. Most of these ship cranes are simple drum cranes that cannot operate with 2 or 4 wire ropes.
These grabs can be connected to any crane that has sufficient load capacity, just needing to hook the GRAB onto the hook to start the operation. They can these openings:
- By touch
- By remote control
- Manual opening
